WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT THE CITY OR AREA YOUR HOME IS IN?
We are very close to the Maple Grove town green (outdoor movies in the summer), central park (splash pad in the summer, skating in the winter), the library, main street, and lots of parks and trails. Everything is within walking or biking distance. We also live on the Maple Grove days parade route. It comes right down our street.

KEY POINTS ABOUT THE PROPERTY THAT WE WERE DRAWN TO?
When we bought the property we were drawn to the big yard, and the character of a house built in 1960. Both are rare in Maple Grove. We love the privacy of this corner lot. People might think 89th avenue is a busy road, but the speed limit is 35MPH and the only real traffic is a few school and city buses in the morning and afternoon. Behind our fence we don’t even think about it until we leave the house. The sidewalks on 89th put the elementary school, bike paths, churches, and restaurants all within easy reach without ever having to walk on a street. The convenience of sidewalks, bike paths, bus routes, and the Maple Grove Days parade all right outside our door far outweigh the minimal traffic that goes by here.

We enjoy the bike paths and parks here. You can ride paths all the way to Bloomington if you want. There are many ponds, creeks, trails, dog parks, etc. There are many opportunities for exploring the area on foot. The high tension lines to the west have open fields underneath for walking, and farther south there is a marsh with woods with ponds you can walk around on. Not many people know about that little woods, but there is a lot of land like that hidden away around here.
ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF THAT WOULD BE IMPORTANT TO A POTENTIAL BUYER?
If you’re not from the area, Osseo Meat Market is your new steak shop. Unless you want to drive to Omaha, you won’t find better steaks. Treat them well. Omni brewing is your new local brewer. The restaurants in town are packed all the time, but you can ALWAYS get a table at Claddagh on main street, and the food is pretty good. Live music at the Lookout is worth a look. You won’t be alone. You’ll notice every yard on this street has a crabapple tree. This is one of the largest, and they’re incredible when they’re all in bloom.
